Do Not Worry About the Logos below this Post
The purpose of this blog is to discuss (constructively) and vote for the new church logo.

The Logo is intended to be used on our buildings signage, website, Stationary, Letterheads, Business cards, etc. We have a deadline on the logo by the end of June.
We will then start to start to look at designing the building signage using the chosen logo

The logos below are concepts and have been created by church members. They are placed here so that they can be commented and voted for to find out which of them should be further developed. (Remember to scroll to the bottom and click older posts or use the blog archive on the right to see them all.)  Comments are moderated so yours may not appear straight away.
How do I make a comment? (click)

You can also download the files that were use to create the various logos so that you can modify them to create a different version.

If you wish to modify one or create your own logo, go for it.  Just send me an email when your finished (attach the logo file) and I will add it to this blog and the files folder for others to comment on.

The logo can be anything you want as long as it is based around CCOC and/or Campbelltown Church of Christ.
The logo should also appeal to our target group of 20 - 35 years olds.

Other than that you have an clean canvas.

Feel free to edit, create your own or simply vote and/or comment on the logos displayed.

Please vote on all of the logo's displayed by clicking on the stars so that we get  good feedback

  1. I think this is a great idea.

However, I believe we are doing this process backwards. I think there needs to be a brainstorming session where we create a mindmap of our current culture and we find the specific aspects of this culture that we want to represent to the world. The logo should then represent those ideas.

Also should be noted that logo design processes general take some time to go through and it needs to fit in with an overall look and feel of the church for not just now, but the years to come.

As well, we do have a logo and it's sitting up the top on that giant board out the front of the church and could probably be included in the list of logos.

That's all for now. I'm sure there is more stuff floating around in my head that I'll let out in the future.

  2. In a sense we are already doing this ie current church culture via the Transistion Team where we have looked at all aspects of our church. See new Church Values statement and Church identity & profile. I must admit the more I think about this I realise the need to have a well-thought out logo that reflects our vision for the future of the church.

  3. I think we need a "Current/Future Cultural Mind-Mapping Committee", to focus solely on brainstorming for this project.. Thanks for heading this up Tim :)

  5. One thing I've picked up from the logo designs is that we don't have a uniformed colour scheme. If we are going to be all corporate and stuff, we need one for the style guide and shouldn't be based on the logo. The logo colouring should be based on a colour scheme.

I reckon we should get a blog started about that along side this one, asking people to go to a site called colourlovers and finding a good colour scheme they feel suitable for the church.
